I did not know you personally but know of you through a mutual friend. I wanted to pay my respects to you & to your family here.
Thank you so much for defending our country. You paid the ultimate sacrifice as your family has as well. There are a lot of us out here that truly appreciate it and have all the respect in the world for you!

THE NEXT ROOM
Death is nothing at all. It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.
Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you, and the old life
that we lived so fondly together is untouched,
unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort,
without the ghost of a shadow upon it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you,
for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just round the corner.
All is well.

Dan,
I know you remember spening many summer days on our farm in Ohio.
It still seems unreal to me that you\'re gone.
We are proud of you, the man you became, and your service to our country. We will forever honor you and will never forget the fun times we had.

Daniel,
I no words can convey my deepest gratitude for your service and sacrifice. All I can do is promise to do my part to take care of your brothers in the 3rd ID and all American servicemen standing tall in the sand.
I wear the bracelet your mother sent me every day, every day you are remembered by a former Marine who never had the honor of meeting you.
Rock on Daniel, Rock On.

Daniel, we have never met, but I feel as though I know you. Your Mom and I became members of the same club--certainly not by choice. Your Mom and I live many miles apart, yet our hearts live right next door to each other. You and my son have probably met by now. I hope you are laughing together and are looking over a beautiful blue ocean
and the spoils of war have been wiped from your minds. Save us a good spot! Until we meet, Love Marty

Ms. Roth, please know that we did receive the scholarship award, but lost your contact info, so I hope you don't mind us reaching out to you this way...it also gives me a chance to let you know that your efforts to keep with us the memory of your son are not in vain. Again, thank you for the opportunity to help my son realize how precious life is and how a man's time on earth is more profound than he knows. God bless you and keep you...

It is almost 3 years now and all I want to do is give you a hug like the very last time I saw you when I was saying goodbye to you at the airport. words cannot even express how I feel. I take one day at a time. I do know that I have to get my shit together before mom strangles me....lol! I made that promise to you! I love you with all of my heart and one day we will be together again! Until then, I know your watching over me. I can feel you every day. its unexplainable. My son Robert P. Jones was good friends with your son Daniel. My son along with other friends of your son served in Iraq. Robert took it very hard when your son/his friend passed away. For mother\\\'s day he gave me one of Daniel\\\'s bracelets and I wear it everyday. Although I personally didn\\\'t know your son I know he meant a lot to my son. My son made it through his tour of Iraq but died days later after returning from Iraq. Only 21 going through a divorce he didn\\\'t want and then having to deal with dreaming about Iraq every night. When hitting a bump in the road just shaking from remembering different explosions and near misses and the loss of good friends. I know this isn\\\'t something we can get over but take it day by day and pray we learn how to live with in. You will be in my prayers and thoughts and thank you for your son and the part in played in my son\\\'s life. God bless you!

Danny, today has been hard for me. A lot of emotion overwhelmed me today when I was at work thinking about all of the time that we had spent together. My prayers go out to you and your family today. It was a pleasure serving with you overseas and I think about you and pray for you all the time. I wish your family all the strength in the world today as I know that they must be much more overwhelmed with emotion today than I am. I took a walk this morning talking to you hoping that some way you could hear me and that your listening. I love you. You were like a brother to me and I will be eternally grateful for all the time we shared together and I WILL NEVER FORGET.
